Social Media & Community Manager - Job Summary

Manage and lead the Trust’s social media platforms to enhance reputation, engage the community, and showcase the organization’s impact using multimedia storytelling and audience interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and improve social media and community engagement strategy to enhance visibility and reputation.
  • Manage social media content calendar balancing event promotion, storytelling, and sponsor commitments.
  • Create, capture, and publish photo and video content from various events and daily activities.
  • Edit photography and video to produce content ranging from informal coverage to polished storytelling.
  • Write tailored and compelling copy for each social media platform.
  • Monitor social channels, engage with audiences, moderate comments, and escalate sensitive issues.
  • Provide live and fast-turn social coverage of performances, festivals, and events including evenings and weekends.
  • Use analytics tools to track performance, identify trends, and inform content strategy.
  • Build and manage relationships with creators and influencers.
  • Respond thoughtfully to guest inquiries via social media in coordination with guest services.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners on event announcements and shared content.
  • Prepare regular performance reports and share insights with leadership.
  • Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion.
  • Perform other assigned responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, multimedia, advertising, digital marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years professional experience in social media management, communications, or multimedia.
  • Required photography, videography, and editing skills.
  • Preferred experience in channel-specific copywriting.
  • Strong time and project management skills.
  • Passion for the organization’s mission and arts-driven community revitalization.
  • Self-motivated, curious, tactful, determined, patient, and organized.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in communications, multimedia, advertising, digital marketing, or related field preferred
