AI Product Community Manager - Job Summary
The role involves building and shaping the community for a next-generation consumer AI product, driving community growth, engagement, and linking community insights to product development at a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Define community strategy for an emerging AI product including target audience and growth methods
- Build and maintain a trusted community home for engaged users
- Develop ambassador, advocate, and power-user programs
- Design and test engagement programs that increase participation and long-term value
- Enable members to organize events and meetups using scalable tools
- Collaborate with social, brand, and creative teams to amplify community creations
- Drive adoption in new markets through community-led outreach
- Explore AI-enabled personalized and scalable community experiences
- Partner with growth teams on organic referral and invite systems
- Identify and support content creators and advocates within the community
- Use data and experimentation to understand drivers of participation and advocacy
- Communicate authentic user stories and behaviors to marketing and product teams
- Test, learn, and scale successful community programs
- Translate user behavior and feedback into actionable product insights
- Monitor community health metrics including activity, retention, sentiment, and advocacy
- Build feedback loops between users and product teams
- Ensure effective communication between product and community
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in community, social, developer relations, creator programs, product advocacy, or related areas
- Experience supporting at least one consumer technology product at scale
- Proven experience building ambassador, advocate, or superuser programs
- Builder mindset with ability to launch and iterate community programs
- Strong interest in AI and how it transforms interaction and creation
- Preferably experience with AI, generative AI, emerging tech or technical products
- Experience engaging early adopters or technically curious users
- Experience scaling online communities via automation and scalable processes
- Strong analytical skills using engagement data and qualitative feedback
- Ability to translate community insights into clear recommendations for product and engineering
- Strong written communication skills with authentic voice and internet culture understanding
- Comfortable in early-stage evolving product and community environments
- Track record of building trust in community experiences
