Campus & Community Engagement Specialist - Job Summary
Supports planning, coordination, and delivery of communication activities across Campus & Community, contributing to campaigns, content development, digital updates, and stakeholder coordination while maintaining brand consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support planning, development, and delivery of targeted communication and engagement campaigns across designated channels.
- Draft clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate copy, content briefs, executive summaries, and campaign updates.
- Publish approved announcements and manage assigned sections of the C&C website using CMS platforms.
- Create, schedule, and publish content while monitoring performance metrics across social media tools.
- Support creation of visuals, layouts, and multimedia content using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging aligned with KAUST and C&C branding guidelines.
- Coordinate with internal proponents, GBC, consultants, and external partners to clarify objectives and timelines.
- Provide proofreading, fact-checking, and quality control; translate technical updates into clear messages.
- Monitor deliverables, follow approval workflows, and maintain visibility via project tracking software.
- Provide operational support, lead select activities during team absences, and work flexible hours for events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, Copywriting, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in marketing, copywriting, or corporate communications.
- Practical experience in website publishing via CMS and social media scheduling and analytics tools.
- Basic graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar; preferred photography and video editing experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong editorial judgment to identify content risks, approval gaps, or escalation needs.
- Ability to stay organized, manage multiple strict deadlines, and ensure task follow-through.
- Capacity to work independently while following guidance.
- Professional confidence to coordinate routine matters with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, Copywriting, or related field
